In Wakatobi, we strive to follow this mantra: Look good. Do good. Feel good.

Our goal is to fuse the functional usage of eyewear as an instrument to correct vision problem and as a part of fashion statement. More importantly we want to achieve it in an easy, pleasant, and fun way as possible! The conventional way in buying eyewear can be a hassle. Optical shops normally carry hundreds of item for you to choose for (good luck with that), all with their variations of prices and models. Here, we narrowed down your options and present you only with the best, hip, and elegant style of eyewears you can find out there. What’s more, they all come in ONE PRICE. So, there’s no need to worry about which one fits your pocket- you only need to worry about which one fits your face.

Our frames are comparable to the branded frames you can find in the market. They are all made of high-quality acetate. Acetate originates from natural cotton fibers and pulp, which gives the natural feels of the material. Main characteristics of acetate are strong, lightweight, and flexible. Also, acetate has the widest range for transparency, rich colors, and finishes. Hence, it was an easy choice to pick this material for our frames as we are able to shape, add or subtract different pieces, apply hundreds of colors variation, in order to create
different looks.

Our lenses are made of high quality CR-39 material layered with anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating. 100% UV protection, guaranteed.

Last but not least, we believe that every individual owns a responsibility to give something good back to his/her community. We take actions in the area where we do best: distributing eyewear. Everytime you buy a pair from us, we will donate another pair to the people in need. Please watch future blog post for a story on this program. We call it MATAMATA.

By the way, as we are approaching our PRE-LAUNCH period (lots of surprises in store for you!), we have finished our first phase of photoshoot sessions. Check out this teaser:
